The trials for the Truth

On April 21, 1998, the Federal Court of Appeals of La Plata passed Resolution 18/98 in a case initiated by the Permanent Assembly for Human Rights (Asamblea Permanente por los Derechos Humanos, APDH) in which it declared the right of the relatives to know the truth about the circumstances surrounding the disappearance, the final location of the corpses, and who the individuals responsible were, even though they could not be prosecuted under the criminal law. The claims concerning the right to know the truth started after Adolfo Scilingo told the story of the death flights. The trials for the truth took place in different parts of the country.
